People are drawn to everything new and unusual and I have learned through my own experience that this is true. How is the melody born? It is like an electrical discharge. I fall in love with each of my new songs that the universe sends me, and I live in order to record it and bring it to the audience. From idea to studio recording. This is an exciting process! I personally produce, write and release my music. Because better than me, nobody will do that. Right now we are working on our debut album "Pink Cow". Part of it is available for listening, but in the future these songs will be improved and finalized. The full album will contains all the experience, love, hope, pain and joy with which I would like to share with all of you. Michael Frazer Share Click image to listen I'm a solo, unsigned artist, living in Scotland. I sing, play guitar, bass and keyboards, and sequence the other instruments I need to bring the best out of my songs. I like to write and record the type of music that I also like to listen to. It’s an odd situation to create something so personal, to invest so much of myself into my songs, and then put them out into the public domain. But that’s the nature of it. I call myself a songsmith. I chose this word carefully, though it could be said to have a slightly pretentious ring to it. What do I mean by it? Well, when I work on a song, I don’t always just sit at an instrument and ‘write’ it, then create the instrumental parts to record it. Though that does happen on some songs like Signs, Sister Lisa, North etc. For some of these songs, when I begin working on them, they keep on evolving as I audition ideas, and instruments and structures. So, I feel they are smithy’d-out rather than written … hence Michael Frazer. Songsmith. My second album The Fish That Swallowed The Moon was recorded at home, mixed and mastered by Brian Reeves (California), and Pete Maher (London). Between them they have an incredible catalogue of credits including U2, Rolling Stones, Paul Weller, Selina Gomez and many others.
