HEGstraction

HEGstraction is an electronic music producer from Lincolnshire in the UK. His first album, ‘Movement’, minimal techno, in the anticipated series of ‘Space, Movement & Light’ is out now. He grew up in the 80s and 90s heavily influenced by the emergent electronic music in Amiga, Nintendo & PlayStation video games, & the movie soundtracks made by electronic music pioneers Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, & Kraftwerk. This led to a natural inclination towards House, Techno & Trance music. More recently, HEGstraction has been influenced by German techno DJ/producers Felix Krocher & Stephan Bodzin. His inspiration differs from most artists, as it comes from the dance floor, where he is most at home. He approaches each song as a mini set, building up slowly, using level changes, sounds that stimulate & energize, whilst also bringing it back down ready for the next DJ or track, creating a trance-like state. Skeletalism & massification are evident in most tracks.
