I’m kind of in the Lennon /Lou Reed/ Randy Newman/ Jonathan Richman / Donovan school of song making. A typical song of mine lasts 4.5 minutes & features well known plus a few home made chords. Lyrical concerns are often nature & evolution, memory, carelessness & hope. In spite of plenty of evidence to the contrary I remain optimistic about life & human progress but when all else fails I simply revel in the multicoloured ridiculousness of our beautifully brief butterfly existence.
